On December 14, 2005 at 10:00pm, Jacob returned home.
A Celebration of Life was held for Jacob on December 23, 2005, at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe.
At the end of December, Jacob's ashes were scattered in Kailua Bay and on Maui.

Happy Birthday Jib!
Today as I celebrate all that you are, I also give thanks for the lessons you teach us. One of the most precious lessons you have taught me is that love is the greatest miracle. Everyone can make a miracle, and expect them too, if they change their minds and are willing to give up the ego's perspective.
