On December 14, 2005 at 10:00pm, Jacob returned home.
A Celebration of Life was held for Jacob on December 23, 2005, at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe.
At the end of December, Jacob's ashes were scattered in Kailua Bay and on Maui.

Hi Jake -
you know we're waiting anxiously for the birth of Makani! She too will be a bringer of light like her Uncle. Your light gives us the sight to recognize the difference between the what has meaning and what doesn't. When one can see that difference it is so much easier to remebmer that we are sustained by God's eternal love. We can feel His presence within us, strong, unchanging and peaceful.

Dear Family and Friends of Jacob,
What a blessing you had on earth with Jacob. I didn't know him but I know he was so dear to his family. My daughter too is a lover of the ocean and the sea turtles. One time she and her Dad were surfing and found a large sea turtle with ropes and a milk jug wrapped around it so it couldn't go under water. They plopped it up on the board and freed it from the ropes. I can only imagine your pain but I'm so thankful you have the great memories. You know he is so special to our Lord if he is so loved by you. God is always with you. A Friend in Christ |

Dearest Jacob, I find myself reflecting on my childhood quite abit lately. As you know I am back on Oahu, and very close to your home. I came back to be closer to my parents and help your mom out as she has been through so much. I wish you could knock some sense into my parents for them to accept help from me, but grandma seems to not want visitors for too long. So I give them their space as it once got to be a real problem. Today I went over there to drop off my mountain bike. This way I can go over there spend some time and go ride, or walk the beach. Then return to checkl on them. They are not doing too well. It is hard to watch someone age, yet harder to watch someone die. I want to thank you for your love and continued spirit that is over me. Since your passing you have helped me in the fight againsit my drug addiction. i am thankful to be alive, and thankful for my family. Oh we were glad you were at the weddings, weren't they wonderful. To anyone reading Jacob's page, we have sad news about a turtle being slaughtered at Laniakea. The honu (green sea turtle) was so special to Jacob, this breaks our hearts. We pray that the perpetrator will be brought to justice, and ask that you share with others the urgent need to educate this generation and the next about protecting our environment, our world. We are all connected.
