On December 14, 2005 at 10:00pm, Jacob returned home.
A Celebration of Life was held for Jacob on December 23, 2005, at St. Ann's Church in Kaneohe.
At the end of December, Jacob's ashes were scattered in Kailua Bay and on Maui.

You were in my dreams again, right before the day dawned on me...I opened the front of a secretary desk finished in shiny dark veneer to find a cluttered mess of items in one of the wide pigeon holes. Somehow knowing it was your desk I was not as shocked by the repulsive disarray of baseball cards, notes, and whatever else. Your things were always scattered, but your mind was always so clear. So I reached in to pull something out (since brothers have eternal access to each other's stuff, right?) and I came up with some folded papers, then identifying them as sheet music. And all I can remember from the title of the piece is "O Holy One". I would say you gotta stop doing this to me, but I could never ask you to live in any other place than my dreams. Thanks for being music to me my brother. |

Hola jacob... i would have written to you first if i knew this page existed. I thought of you today and i found this page on the net. I loved the time a shared with you in hawaii and in spain..i will always remember you with your ukelele :) Since i was told that you are not in here anymore i can´t help reading from time to time what you wrote to me the day before you guys left spain..but it is something i just can´t write here..you know what it was!hehehe..you were so cool.. anyway you finished saying "i know we´ll meet again", i´m sorry it can´t be in hawaii jacob, but of course, we´ll meet someday, and until then i want to send you a big hug..you were one those persons impossible to forget. Today I did my best to celebrate you! A good friend of mine and I celebrated together. Her Dad passed away just a few years ago and today is his birthday. You probably already met him and have swapped stories already. We went to see a movie and have pizza, your favorites. Then we had a Celebration of Life cake which she had made which had your name with a honu and her Dad's name with the Mickey Mouse symbol since his nickname was Mickey. We swapped stories about what great guys you are and laughed about the funny things we remembered. You will always be with me bro. LiveAloha Always.
